CHINA TELECOM Appoints Liang Xuming and Chen Jimin as Independent Non-Executive Directors

CHINA TELECOM (00728) has announced that its board of directors has proposed the re-election of several members to the ninth board. The proposal includes re-electing current executive directors Ke Ruiwen, Liu Guiqing, Tang Ke, and Li Yinghui as executive directors. Additionally, it proposes the re-election of current non-executive director Lu Yongzhong as a non-executive director, and the re-election of current independent non-executive directors Wu Jianing and Li Huiguang as independent non-executive directors. Furthermore, the board has submitted a motion for shareholder approval at the annual general meeting to elect Mr. Liang Xuming and Ms. Chen Jimin as new independent non-executive directors for the company's ninth board.
