Russia States Iran Conflict Should Not Affect Domestic Fuel Prices

Deep News03-05

Military actions in the Middle East and their impact on the international oil environment should not lead to fluctuations in domestic fuel prices within Russia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the Russian government is closely monitoring the situation.

He told reporters, "In this case, the international circumstances related to the conflict with Iran cannot and should not be the cause of any volatility in our fuel prices. Of course, the government is continuously monitoring developments."

Peskov noted that the Russian government, along with the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), is keeping a close watch on the domestic fuel price situation.
