Bulletin Express04-17 22:45

Tian Lun Gas released its 2025 Environmental, Social & Governance Report, detailing progress in emissions reduction, safety, employee welfare and supply-chain governance across its nationwide gas distribution network.

• Declining carbon footprint – Total Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse-gas emissions fell 13.2% year on year to 28,077.07 tCO₂e, cutting emissions intensity to 3.23 tCO₂e per million CNY of revenue (2024: 3.84), a 15.9% improvement. Energy consumption dropped 15.3% to 58,305.05 MWh, with intensity reduced to 7.35 MWh per million CNY.

• Waste and effluent targets met – Wastewater discharge totalled 39,454.15 t, below the 40,000 t annual cap. Hazardous-waste generation was 12.74 t (target: ≤13 t) and non-hazardous waste 411.01 t (target: ≤420 t). Particulate emissions were limited to 23 kg, in line with the 25 kg ceiling.

• Expanding green footprint – The group operated 70 city-gas projects, one LNG plant and six long-distance pipelines, supplying 5.99 million households and 56,000 industrial and commercial customers. The in-operation medium- and high-pressure pipeline network reached 9,635 km, serving an estimated 20 million people.

• Safety and health – No work-related fatalities occurred in 2025. Tian Lun Gas organised 75 safety-training sessions (22.9 hours per employee on average) and provided health checks to 100% of employees.

• Supply-chain oversight – The company engaged 244 suppliers, all certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. A full life-cycle management system governs supplier admission, performance evaluation and exit.

• Governance structure – ESG oversight rests with the board, supported by an ESG Committee that coordinates climate strategy, risk management and disclosure. No environmental or compliance penalties were recorded during the year.

• Community contribution – Cumulative charitable donations surpassed CNY 160 million, and the “Gas Access for Rural Areas” programme continued to extend cleaner energy to remote communities.

• Industry recognition – 2025 accolades included “Outstanding ESG Social Responsibility Enterprise” (Gelonghui Golden Grid Awards) and “Excellence in Sustainability Information Disclosure” (Cailian Press ZhiYuan Awards).

Tian Lun Gas said the 2025 reporting period marked further progress in its transition from a traditional gas distributor to an integrated clean-energy provider, with continued investment in photovoltaic, energy-storage and distributed-energy initiatives.
