On February 3rd, the company announced via its official WeChat account the official release and open-sourcing of GLM-OCR. Reportedly, this model has a parameter scale of only 0.9B, supports deployment via vLLM, SGLang, and Ollama, and has achieved state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance on multiple mainstream benchmarks for formula recognition, table recognition, and information extraction. Notably, according to a report by the South China Morning Post, informed sources revealed that KNOWLEDGE ATLAS AI (internationally branded as Z.ai) plans to launch GLM-5—the fifth-generation large model in its GLM series—within the next two weeks. The new version is expected to deliver "comprehensive and significant" improvements in creative writing, programming, logical reasoning, and agentic capabilities. Currently, KNOWLEDGE ATLAS AI has not commented on this matter.
