Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals Co.,Ltd. (SH: 600276) has announced that its subsidiary, Fujian Shengdi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has received the Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice from the National Medical Products Administration for the HRS-4139 tablet, paving the way for the initiation of clinical trials in the near term.

HRS-4139 is a first-in-class (Class 1) innovative drug developed in-house by the company. In animal models, it has demonstrated efficacy in alleviating psoriasis symptoms and suppressing inflammatory responses. According to available data, no drugs targeting the same molecular pathway have been approved for marketing globally to date.

As of now, the cumulative research and development investment in the HRS-4139 project amounts to approximately RMB 20.4 million (unaudited).
