The Zhaotong Municipal Postal Administration in Yunnan Province has recently taken proactive steps to coordinate with postal enterprises, enabling the launch of direct mail delivery routes to Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces during the peak sales season for local apples. This initiative adds a fresh distribution channel for the export of Zhaotong apples and other highland specialty agricultural products.
Currently, three daily direct postal routes are operational, including two to Zhejiang (via Hangzhou) and one to Guangdong (via Guangzhou). The Zhaotong-Hangzhou route offers both air and ground transportation options, while the Zhaotong-Guangzhou service operates as a direct ground shipment.
Since the introduction of these dedicated routes, the market reach for Zhaotong apples has been significantly expanded. The new logistics framework effectively addresses key pain points in the transport of agricultural goods, such as excessive handling steps, slow delivery times, and high shipping expenses, thereby bolstering the competitiveness of local produce in distant markets.
