US stock futures are trading slightly lower in the pre-market session on August 11. Dow futures are down 0.11%, Nasdaq 100 futures are down 0.05%, and S&P 500 futures are down 0.06%.
Most popular Chinese ADRs are declining in pre-market trading. NIO is down over 4%, JD.com (JD) is down more than 3%, while Alibaba (BABA), New Oriental, NetEase, and Baidu (BIDU) are all down over 2%.
The optical communication sector is also seeing a pre-market decline, with Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) falling more than 3%.
In contrast, memory chip stocks are gaining ground in pre-market trading. SK Hynix is up 0.89%.
