The Guizhou 'Village Super League' IP, a nationwide sensation, has made its coastal debut in Qinhuangdao. On July 21, 2026, Rongjiang County in Guizhou Province and the Beidaihe New District of Qinhuangdao held a signing ceremony, formally establishing a strategic partnership for city IP and industrial co-creation, sharing, and high-quality development.
Oceanwide Azure Coast has been designated as the primary venue for the event, tasked with comprehensively hosting Guizhou's 'Village Super' teams in Qinhuangdao to foster cross-regional integration of culture, sports, tourism, and commerce.
How the Partnership Began
This collaboration between the two regions originated from a special inspection tour to Rongjiang, Guizhou, conducted by Oceanwide Group in May this year. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions and reached broad consensus on various areas, including mass sports event operations, youth football development, cultural and tourism integration, and wellness tourism.
Three Pillars of Cooperation
With the advancement and implementation of this partnership, both sides will deeply collaborate across three main levels: events, industry, and wellness tourism.
For event collaboration, Rongjiang will select outstanding village-level teams and distinctive cheerleading squads to compete in Qinhuangdao. The official 'Village Super' organization will also invite teams nationwide to register for the 'Sand Super' (Qinhuangdao Beach Football Super League), establishing a regular participation channel. Non-cultural heritage performances like Dong Grand Songs will be integrated into the event sites. Additionally, the youth football training systems of both regions will connect, organizing activities such as football study tours, friendly matches, and summer camps.
Regarding industrial collaboration, the 'Village Super' IP will serve as a link to establish a two-way circulation channel for distinctive products from the north and south, promoting 'Guizhou goods heading out of the mountains and Hebei products entering Guizhou.' Future plans will leverage Qinhuangdao's port logistics and cold chain storage advantages to cover markets in North and Northeast China.
For wellness tourism collaboration, the partnership will fully utilize the seasonal complementary advantages of the northern and southern regions to create a cross-regional wellness tourism system characterized by 'winter stays in Rongjiang and summer residences in Beidaihe,' forming a year-round, uninterrupted two-way flow of visitors.
The Venue's Strategic Role
Qinhuangdao is the only prefecture-level city in China to have co-hosted both the Asian Games and the Olympic Games, possessing a strong sporting heritage and being selected as one of the nation's first high-quality outdoor sports destinations. As the core venue for this cooperation, the Oceanwide Azure Coast International Resort boasts a 2.8-kilometer pristine coastline. With its mature event operations and coastal holiday service system, it is not only the permanent host of the Qinhuangdao 'Sand Super' but also home to the China Yachting Association's Northern Headquarters Base and the ILCA Asian Sailing Training Center. It has successively hosted top-tier events like the ILCA Asian Sailing Championships and the National Sea Fishing Championships.
