Stock News03-25

VSTECS (00856) rose nearly 4% in morning trading. At the time of writing, the stock was up 4.24% to HK$3.69, with a turnover of HK$484 million. The company recently announced its 2025 financial results, reporting an annual profit attributable to shareholders of HK$1.353 billion, a 28.66% year-on-year increase. According to the announcement, the group achieved significant revenue growth during the year, driven by rising demand across all business segments, particularly in consumer electronics and cloud computing fueled by the artificial intelligence boom and the widespread adoption of electronic products. Huayuan Securities noted that the company's profit growth significantly outpaced its revenue growth, primarily due to benefits from the high demand in AI-related sectors, optimization of its business structure, an increase in the proportion of high-margin businesses, and improved profitability from price increases in electronic components such as memory. The securities firm added that VSTECS's Southeast Asian operations continued to exhibit strong growth. Based on information from the company's official WeChat account, AI-related business grew 30% year-on-year in 2025, while regional net profit increased by 20%. As a key partner of NVIDIA in Southeast Asia, VSTECS has facilitated the establishment of multiple AI computing centers and continues to expand its market share with international brands such as Apple, HPE, and Dell. Notably, its Apple business grew 67% year-on-year. The firm believes that with the acceleration of digital transformation in Southeast Asia and increasing demand from Chinese technology companies expanding overseas, VSTECS is well-positioned to benefit from growth opportunities arising from AI infrastructure development and regional ICT demand expansion, leveraging its local distribution channels, technical support, and delivery capabilities.
