HPE CEO Declares Era of Deep Intertwining Between Geopolitics and Artificial Intelligence

Deep News01-22

Antonio Neri, the Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, stated that the intersection of geopolitics and artificial intelligence is becoming unprecedentedly tight. He pointed out, "Governments worldwide are contemplating how to leverage AI to enhance defensive capabilities and build technological sovereignty." During a forum, Neri engaged in in-depth discussions with representatives from various governments regarding the construction of sovereign AI clouds.

"Every nation wishes to invest in and control key technology stacks, which is a core element for achieving sovereignty, but at the same time, they do not want to become overly reliant on China, nor do they wish to be constrained by the United States," Neri analyzed. "Understandably, countries will still need to cooperate with both sides at specific stages, but in the long term, we will see more localized investments to truly take control of their own developmental destiny."
