To further popularize cybersecurity knowledge, enhance the cybersecurity awareness and anti-fraud capabilities of residents in the jurisdiction, and foster a strong social atmosphere of "cybersecurity for the people, cybersecurity by the people," Fangshan Town recently carried out a series of National Cybersecurity Awareness Week activities.
During the campaign, staff and civilization practice volunteers posted National Cybersecurity Awareness Week posters in key areas of the town and villages. At the same time, they distributed the "Civilized Internet Use, Healthy Living" brochure and National Cybersecurity Awareness Week leaflets to passersby, explaining cybersecurity laws and regulations, personal information protection, civilized internet use, identification of online rumors, and prevention of AI fraud in accessible language, reminding the public to stay vigilant, avoid clicking unfamiliar links, and safeguard their personal privacy.
Village officials also conducted door-to-door outreach, posting anti-fraud notices on village bulletin boards and at main intersections, and delivering anti-fraud flyers. Drawing on typical cases of telecom fraud common in rural areas, they focused on explaining to the elderly and rural residents common scam tactics such as rebate fraud, fake investments, and impersonation of acquaintances, reminding everyone to "not trust easily, not disclose information, and not transfer money," protect their "money bags," and build a strong rural anti-fraud barrier.
Through approachable and engaging outreach methods, this Cybersecurity Awareness Week series brought cybersecurity and anti-fraud knowledge to the doorsteps of residents, effectively expanding the coverage and influence of cybersecurity publicity and genuinely improving villagers' awareness of online risks and self-protection capabilities.
Going forward, Fangshan Town will continue to normalize cybersecurity and anti-fraud publicity, leveraging both online and offline channels to solidify grassroots cybersecurity defenses and protect residents' online property safety.
