Fuel Price Adjustment Announcement

Deep News08-11 22:30

As of August 11, there are only three days remaining until the price adjustment window closes at midnight on August 14. The current pricing cycle for refined oil products began on August 3 and consists of 10 statistical working days. By August 11, seven of those days have been completed, with three more to go.

At the start of this cycle, expectations for a price reduction were steadily growing, driven by a continuous increase in the projected decrease. However, a recent sharp rebound in international oil prices has caused the anticipated reduction to shrink. Currently, a decrease of 345 yuan per tonne for gasoline and 335 yuan per tonne for diesel is estimated. This translates to a drop of 0.28 yuan per litre for 92-octane gasoline and 0.29 yuan per litre for both 95-octane and diesel fuel.

If international crude prices remain at elevated levels, the estimated reduction could narrow further. It is important to note that the pricing cycle still has several statistical days to go, and variables remain. All final figures will be based on the official announcement from the National Development and Reform Commission.
