STANCHART (02888) Buys Back 977,000 Shares on 16 Mar 2026; Post-Cancellation Share Count Falls to 2.24 Billion

Standard Chartered PLC (STANCHART, 02888) repurchased 977,000 ordinary shares of US$0.50 each on 16 March 2026 under the share buy-back programme announced on 24 February 2026. The shares were acquired through J.P. Morgan Securities plc at a volume-weighted average price of 1,550.98 pence, within a low–high range of 1,532.50–1,572.00 pence.

Trading-venue split: • London Stock Exchange: 586,200 shares at a VWAP of 1,551.01 pence • CBOE BXE: 195,400 shares at a VWAP of 1,550.92 pence • CBOE CXE: 195,400 shares at a VWAP of 1,550.95 pence

Cumulative deployment under the programme reached US$230.32 million up to the close of trading on 15 March 2026.

All repurchased shares will be cancelled. Upon cancellation, Standard Chartered’s issued share capital will stand at 2.24 billion ordinary shares, representing the total voting rights in the company.

Future repurchases will continue within the parameters set out in the 24 February 2026 announcement and in compliance with U.K. regulations, including Article 5(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 as incorporated into U.K. law.
