China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited reported solid expansion across key traffic indicators in February 2026, supported by the continuous recovery of international demand and targeted capacity deployment.

Passenger business • Available seat-kilometres (ASK) rose 12.79 % year-on-year to 28.48 billion, while revenue passenger-kilometres (RPK) advanced 14.68 % to 24.65 billion, lifting the passenger load factor by 1.42 percentage points to 86.54 %. • International routes remained the growth engine: ASK +20.11 %, RPK +27.10 %, and load factor up 4.63 percentage points to 84.14 %. • The carrier transported 13.03 million passengers during the month, an 8.11 % increase versus February 2025.

Cargo business • Revenue freight tonne-kilometres (RFTK) jumped 33.88 % to 355.97 million, outpacing an 8.78 % rise in available freight tonne-kilometres (AFTK). As a result, the freight load factor improved 6.82 percentage points to 36.38 %. • International cargo demand remained robust with RFTK up 36.79 % and load factor up 7.71 percentage points to 46.67 %. • Freight weight carried totalled 91.00 million kg, up 27.54 %.

Consolidated performance • Available tonne-kilometres (ATK) increased 11.66 % to 3.54 billion, while revenue tonne-kilometres (RTK) climbed 15.84 % to 2.48 billion, pushing the overall load factor 2.53 percentage points higher to 69.99 %.

Network and capacity moves • The airline added or resumed more than 20 domestic and international routes in February, including Shanghai–Phu Quoc Island internationally and Shanghai Hongqiao–Changbai Mountain domestically, alongside frequency increases on popular Southeast Asian services.

Fleet update • Two A320-series aircraft retired during the month; no new aircraft were inducted. The fleet stood at 823 aircraft at end-February, comprising 113 wide-bodies, 679 narrow-bodies and 31 regional aircraft.

Cumulative two-month view (January–February 2026) • ASK totalled 55.33 billion (+4.23 %), RPK 47.47 billion (+6.55 %), and passenger load factor 85.80 % (+1.87 ppts). • RFTK reached 719.46 million (+19.62 %), driving freight load factor to 37.94 % (+5.91 ppts). • RTK rose 8.45 % to 4.85 billion, with overall load factor improving 3.33 ppts to 70.54 %.

Management reiterated that the disclosed operating statistics are unaudited and subject to potential adjustment in subsequent regular reports.
