Bank Indonesia Reaffirms Focus on Rupiah Stability and Inflation Control

Indonesia's central bank is maintaining its vigilance on the rupiah and inflation, reiterating its commitment to market intervention and policy coordination.

Bank Indonesia (BI) continues to actively participate in the market through spot transactions, Non-Deliverable Forwards (NDF), and Domestic Non-Deliverable Forwards (DNDF), according to a Friday online briefing by acting Governor Destry Damayanti. The bank will guide its policies to attract capital inflows and strengthen coordination with the government to keep inflation in check.

BI's policy stance remains unchanged from its previous position, the report quoted her as saying. The central bank will continue to focus on maintaining stability by optimizing its various available tools and policies.
