China Datang Corporation Renewable Power Co., Limited (DATANG RENEW) announced that Chairman and Executive Director Ying Xuejun has tendered his resignation—along with his role as Chairman of the Board’s Strategic Committee—due to work-related re-assignment. The resignation will take effect on the date shareholders approve a new director at the forthcoming general meeting.
The Board confirmed that Ying Xuejun has no disagreements with directors and that no other matters require shareholder or exchange attention. The company expressed formal appreciation for his contributions during his tenure.
Concurrently, the Board has nominated Zhao Gang, aged 55, for election as an Executive Director. Subject to shareholder approval at the general meeting, his term will run through the end of the current Board session, with eligibility for re-election thereafter. Zhao Gang’s compensation package will comprise salary, allowances, benefits-in-kind, discretionary bonuses and pension contributions; he will not receive a separate director’s fee. Annual remuneration details will be disclosed in the company’s report.
Zhao Gang holds a master’s degree in engineering from Tsinghua University and is a certified senior economist. His career has spanned senior roles across multiple subsidiaries and affiliates of the China Datang group, including posts as Chairman of China Datang Group Capital Holding Co., Ltd. and senior management positions in energy and materials units. Regulatory disclosures confirm he has no shareholdings in DATANG RENEW, no related-party ties with existing directors or major shareholders, and no prior directorships in publicly listed companies over the past three years.
The board lineup remains unchanged until the general meeting: Executive Directors Ying Xuejun and Wang Fanghong; Non-Executive Directors Chen Zhijie, Rong Xiaojie, Shi Feng and Bai Li; Independent Non-Executive Directors Qin Haiyan, Chow Hiu Tung and Lu Hao.
