Wuxi's Xishan District Reports Over 6 Billion Yuan in Commercial Aerospace Revenue for 2025

Deep News08:03

The Xishan District of Wuxi City in Jiangsu Province is strategically developing its commercial aerospace sector by leveraging its strengths in high-end equipment and new materials. The district is actively improving its business environment, nurturing high-quality enterprises, and advancing major projects within this emerging field.

In 2025, the commercial aerospace industry in Xishan District achieved an annual revenue exceeding 6 billion yuan. The district has already cultivated a group of specialized and sophisticated enterprises, including Intertek, Longda Superalloy, Kashi Precision, and Gaode, which are recognized at the provincial level or higher.

Concurrently, the district is concentrating its efforts on establishing a production and R&D base for aerospace new materials. For 2026, there are four key projects under construction with a total investment of approximately 8 billion yuan.

At a recent exhibition, several local companies showcased their core, independently developed products. Xinchao Alloy presented a range of high-temperature alloy products from iron-nickel-based, nickel-based, and cobalt-based systems, comprising over ten different grades. These materials are extensively used in critical aerospace components.

Among the exhibitors was Zhongneng Guangchu, a company with over a decade of experience in perovskite photovoltaic technology. It introduced two space-grade products: the fully flexible, rollable "Rolling Light · Flexible Wing" perovskite solar wing and the carbon-fiber-substrate folding "Stacked Light · Deployable Wing" perovskite solar wing.

The company's product thickness has been refined to a 2-micron flexible process. Its ultra-thin, 1.6-micron aerospace-specific perovskite solar cell has achieved a photoelectric conversion efficiency of 23.3% and a specific power exceeding 55 watts per gram.

Looking ahead, Xishan District plans to focus on key segments of the commercial aerospace supply chain, including core materials, critical components, and testing services. The goal is to strengthen, supplement, and extend the industrial chain, fully supporting the construction of the aerospace new materials R&D and production base. The district will also deepen the integration of industry, academia, and research to provide solid support for the high-quality development of the commercial aerospace industry, according to a relevant official from the Xishan District government.
