Hanx Biopharmaceuticals (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. (“HANXBIO”) has commenced research work under an earlier cooperation agreement with Swiss-based TwinEdge Bioscience to apply artificial-intelligence-driven “Digital Twin” technology to HX009, the company’s lead bifunctional anti-PD-1/SIRPα fusion protein for lymphoma treatment.\n\nTwinEdge Bioscience has built proprietary AI models capable of generating personalised Digital Twins—virtual avatars derived from patient-derived xenograft (PDX) mouse models of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Initial milestones include successful creation of these Digital Twins, which will be expanded to integrate molecular and dose–response data for in-silico simulations.\n\nThe collaboration is designed to: \n1. Elucidate HX009’s mechanism of action within tumour-infiltrating CD8+ T cells. \n2. Simulate potential clinical performance across thousands of virtual lymphoma patients, capturing inter-patient heterogeneity and biomarker-linked response patterns. \n3. Optimise patient-screening protocols and refine clinical-development pathways, with the goal of accelerating HX009’s progression into pivotal studies.\n\nHX009 recently completed a clinical proof-of-concept study in Epstein–Barr virus (EBV)-positive non-Hodgkin lymphoma, including EBV-positive DLBCL. HANXBIO plans to initiate a pivotal clinical trial targeting this indication. The AI-based translational insights from TwinEdge are expected to support advanced clinical planning.\n\nFounded in 2014, HANXBIO focuses on next-generation immunotherapies for cancer and autoimmune diseases, while TwinEdge Bioscience specialises in computational biology and AI platforms that model oncology drug responses. The companies stress that, in line with Hong Kong Listing Rule 18A.05, successful development and commercialisation of HX009 are not guaranteed, and shareholders should exercise caution when dealing in HANXBIO shares.
