On August 10, severe convective weather struck Kunming's Wuhua District. At 16:51 that day, the Wuhua District Meteorological Observatory had issued an orange rainstorm warning.
At the entrance of Cuihu Park, a tree branch broke and fell. Park authorities responded by stating that the incident caused minor scratches to a visitor, who was subsequently sent to the hospital. The fallen branch was later cleared away.
On Xinwen Road, a sales container placed at a shop's entrance was blown away from its original position by the strong wind. It rolled down the stairs, but no injuries were reported. After the incident, property management staff cleaned up the area.
According to the Wuhua District Flood Control Headquarters, the severe weather event resulted in tree collapses along six major urban roads within the district. All related cleanup and response work has been completed.
