Standard Nuclear Sets $18-$21 IPO Price Range, Aims to Raise Up to $383 Million

Stock News07-07

Standard Nuclear, a developer of nuclear fuel for small modular reactors across the United States, announced on Tuesday the terms for its upcoming initial public offering. The company plans to offer 18.25 million shares at a price range of $18 to $21 per share, aiming to raise up to $383 million.

This IPO could value Standard Nuclear at a maximum of $3.53 billion. The company intends to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "STDN".

Standard Nuclear is based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and was founded in 2024. It focuses on the design, engineering, and manufacturing of TRISO fuel, a type of advanced nuclear fuel used in small modular and microreactors. The company's strategy emphasizes expanding domestic U.S. manufacturing capabilities to bolster national energy security.

The firm operates the United States' sole privately funded, industrial-scale production line dedicated to TRISO fuel. The assets for this production line were acquired in 2024 through a bankruptcy auction from Ultra Safe Nuclear.

In a significant milestone, Standard Nuclear became the first company authorized by the U.S. Department of Energy in January 2026 to physically receive high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) for manufacturing TRISO fuel.

Revenue for the company is primarily generated from fuel development agreements with commercial clients and U.S. government agencies. Its total contract backlog currently stands at up to $245 million.

Financial data shows that Standard Nuclear generated $3 million in revenue for the 12-month period ending March 31, 2026.
