Shopify shares surged 5.04% during Tuesday's intraday trading session, extending gains from the prior session when the stock jumped over 8% following a strong quarterly earnings report. The move came amid a broad rally across the software-as-a-service sector, with peers such as Workday, Autodesk, Adobe, SAP, Intuit, Salesforce, Trade Desk, DocuSign, and ServiceNow all posting notable gains.

Royal Bank of Canada published a research note endorsing Shopify's competitive position, stating that the company is not at risk of being marginalized by the emerging "Vibe coding" trend. Analysts emphasized that Shopify's innovation speed, feature breadth, reliability, and scalability remain superior to free open-source tools, and demand from small, medium, and large enterprises has not weakened. This positive commentary, combined with the earnings beat that demonstrated tangible improvements in merchant retention and conversion rates driven by advanced AI tools, fueled investor confidence.

Adding to the bullish sentiment, Morgan Stanley maintained its attractive rating for the software industry and named Shopify among its most confident overweight stocks in the AI era. A broader sector rotation from semiconductor stocks into SaaS names also provided a supportive backdrop for the session's gains.
