Deep News08-18 18:12

Newly released data from July shows Chinese automakers making significant inroads in the Danish market, with XPeng emerging as the top-selling Chinese brand.

XPeng delivered 610 vehicles in Denmark during July, securing the eighth position in the overall brand rankings — the highest placement among all Chinese manufacturers. This represents a remarkable 542.1% year-on-year sales surge, with the G6 model alone accounting for 470 units. Notably, XPeng was outside the top ten in June, yet broke into the rankings within a single month.

ZEEKR followed in second place among Chinese brands with 382 units sold, posting an extraordinary 1132.3% year-on-year increase. MG claimed the third spot with 268 vehicles delivered, growing 109.4% from the previous year, while Byd Company Limited took fourth place with 249 units sold, up 42.3% annually. All four brands successfully secured positions within the top twenty of Denmark's overall brand rankings.

Moving down the list, positions five through ten are occupied by brands that have recently entered the Danish market for the first time. These include Leapmotor with 123 units, JAC with 99 units, Deepal with 32 units, Exeed with 15 units, and NIO with just 3 units sold. Additionally, Omoda secured the eighth spot among Chinese brands with 16 vehicle sales, achieving an impressive 433.3% year-on-year growth.

Looking at the broader picture, Chinese brands are predominantly driving sales through pure electric models in Denmark. XPeng's breakthrough into the overall top ten, closely followed by ZEEKR and MG, underscores the strong growth momentum these companies are building. With electric vehicles commanding an 80% share of the Danish market, Chinese automakers are leveraging their expertise in electrification to steadily expand their competitive footprint in the region.
