2025 Xinjiang Premium Agricultural Products Fair in Shanghai: Kashgar Secures Orders Worth 372 Million Yuan

Deep News12-13

From December 5 to 8, the 2025 Xinjiang Premium Agricultural Products Fair was held at the Shanghai Agricultural Exhibition Hall, showcasing nearly 1,000 specialty agricultural products from Xinjiang. The event saw a total contracted value of 1.652 billion yuan for the autonomous region. Notably, over 50 key Shanghai distributors and Kashgar-based enterprises reached procurement intentions amounting to approximately 372 million yuan.

In 2024, Xinjiang's total output value for agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery grew by 6.8% year-on-year, with grain yield per unit area ranking first in China for the first time, solidifying its reputation as a "green granary." As a major consumer market and branding hub for Xinjiang’s agricultural products, Shanghai is adopting a new model of "market-driven thinking + professional empowerment" to elevate collaboration from "production capacity" to "market success."

The Kashgar exhibition zone highlighted distinctive "star products" from four counties: - **Shache County**: Featured its world-renowned, China-exclusive Badam nuts, along with fragrant Shache pears known for their thin skin, tender flesh, and abundant juice. - **Zepu County**: Showcased next-generation apple varieties like "Ruixue," "Venus Golden," and "Qincui," as well as organic Zepu jujubes from the country’s largest planting base, prized for their thick, sweet, and soft texture. - **Yecheng County**: Promoted its crispy, aromatic, and sweet thin-shell walnuts and large-kernel horse tooth sunflower seeds. - **Bachu County**: Highlighted Balchuk lamb, Apocynum tea, and wild mushrooms.

These premium products garnered widespread acclaim from Shanghai consumers.

On December 5, a dedicated promotion event for Kashgar’s agricultural products yielded significant results. Aynur Tursun, Deputy Director of the Kashgar Regional Political Consultative Conference, outlined the region’s agricultural resources and industrial advantages. Six Kashgar enterprises, including Jiangxian Da, presented their offerings. Four cooperation agreements worth 62 million yuan were signed on-site with Shanghai buyers such as the Shanghai Consumption Assistance Alliance and Shanghai Minlong Industrial.

The fair introduced an innovative "Shanghai-Kashgar Premium Products" brand consultation session, where experts including Professor Cui Lili from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Han Shanyue from the Shanghai Commercial Information Center provided multi-dimensional insights on market trends, digital branding, and retail channel strategies for 12 selected products. These recommendations will later be translated into actionable plans to drive brand upgrades.

Key highlights of the fair included: - **County-specific product focus** ("One County, One Product") - **Efficient and targeted sales** - **Expert-driven branding** - **Long-term collaboration mechanisms**

The event underscored the evolving synergy between Shanghai’s market and Xinjiang’s products, further advancing Kashgar’s industrial standardization and branding efforts.
