Gemini 4 Argon is being made globally available to developers and enterprises starting today through AI Studio and the API in the Gemini platform; to Google AI Ultra subscribers in Google Antigravity; and to Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search.

Google claims that Argon excels at completing complex real-world deep work in fields such as coding, finance, law, cybersecurity and science. Its depth and precision in multi-step tasks make Argon outperform other frontier models in benchmarks across various fields and rank first on ValsIndex. This index measures model performance in key economic areas such as finance, coding, law and tax work. The model is being released today at an introductory price: $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens (a 95% discount on cached input tokens).

Google claims that internal teams, enterprises and the research community are already using Argon to achieve significant impact across multiple areas: solving major engineering problems such as refactoring and optimizing large codebases; optimizing business workflows in fields such as law, finance and science; discovering and patching critical cybersecurity vulnerabilities; and enabling new breakthroughs in quantum computing, nuclear fusion and life sciences.

Tackling complex engineering tasks

Google says that over the past few weeks, software engineers have been delivering high-quality code faster than ever. In Antigravity, Argon has helped teams increase agentic code commits by more than 35%, while reducing code rollbacks by nearly one-third.

Untangling browser feature code in Chrome

Argon helped the Chrome team separate core web processing from an approximately 6-million-line legacy browser features folder within Chromium's 40-million-line codebase. By pushing multiple clean code changes at once, Argon helped the team complete an architectural refactor spanning hundreds of files, shortening months of work to weeks. For Chrome's billions of users worldwide, this will unlock the ability for real-time web pages to move smoothly between tabs, sidebars and floating windows without reloading, and eliminate an entire class of browser crashes.
