The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (Ticker: SPY) rose 1% in after-hours trading. This movement followed a statement from U.S. President Donald Trump, who indicated he is considering a "gradual reduction" of American military actions against Iran.

"As we are getting very close to completing our objectives, we are considering scaling back military operations in the Middle East against Iran," President Trump stated in a social media post on Friday.

During the regular trading session, the SPY ETF had declined by 1.7%.

Separately, the Invesco QQQ Trust, which tracks the Nasdaq-100 index, saw an increase of 0.9% in Friday's after-hours trading.
