Special Report: 2025 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference & First Green Industry and Sustainable Consumption Expo The 2025 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference was held from October 16 to 18 at the Shanghai Expo Park in Huangpu District. Edie, Senior Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of Perfect World Co., Ltd., attended and delivered a speech.
Edie emphasized that AI serves humanity and is not intended to replace humans; the core principle is human-centric. Everyone has the right to utilize these tools, and in doing so, can naturally bridge the information gaps and disparities in the rights of usage among individuals. The goal for AI tools should be inclusivity, and for developers or leaders in AI technology, the ultimate aim is to put humanity first.
How can AI technology be made inclusive for all humanity? He believes it requires cultivating universal AI literacy, which consists of two key aspects: 1. Everyone should learn how to use the most advanced AI tools available today. 2. It is essential for everyone to understand the guiding principles to follow when using and developing AI tools, including relationships among humans, society, and the interaction between machines and humans—these are encompassed within AI governance principles.
Edie is confident that in the future, the principles of AI application and governance will converge globally. There will be a fundamental principle of cultivating universal AI literacy that enables citizens of a country, a region, or even the entire world to quickly master the tools of AI and to correctly understand their implications.
