Autohome-S Shares Surge Over 10% in Early Trading After Approval of $400M Share Buyback Plan

Autohome-S (02518.HK) saw a sharp rise of more than 10% in early trading on Thursday, with shares last trading up 8.62% at HK$43.60, on a turnover of HK$242,300.

The company announced that its board of directors has approved a new share repurchase plan, effective from July 28, 2026. Under this plan, Autohome-S may repurchase up to $400 million worth of American depositary shares over the next 12 months.

In a related development, Autohome-S recently held a retail recruitment conference, focusing on the new retail automotive track, growth potential in lower-tier markets, and opportunities in the automotive aftermarket. The company unveiled a comprehensive upgrade plan for its Autohome Mall and introduced diverse partnership models for automakers, dealers, and offline stores nationwide.

During the conference, Autohome-S also showcased its retail chain brand, "Jiajia Haoche." The company plans to expand its network by adding 600 new stores across China in 2026.
