Space Stocks Surge at Market Open, Redwire Leads with Over 15% Gain

Stock News05-22 23:00

Space-related stocks showed strong activity early in Friday's trading session. Redwire Corp. (RDW.US) surged more than 15%. Intuitive Machines (LUNR.US), AST SpaceMobile (ASTS.US), and Rocket Labs (RKLB.US) each gained over 10%, while Destiny Tech100 (DXYZ.US) rose more than 6%.

The investor enthusiasm for Elon Musk's rocket company, SpaceX, as its highly anticipated public market debut approaches, draws parallels to the frenzy Tesla (TSLA.US) once ignited in the electric vehicle sector. Wedbush analyst Dan Ives described a potential SpaceX IPO as a "golden moment" for the entire space industry. He noted, "This is not just about one company. Much like Tesla defined the electric vehicle era, the space sector is reaching an inflection point, opening a brand new frontier."
