Ensuring Holiday Safety: Shuangta District Market Supervision Bureau Conducts Special Inspection of Market Safety During National Day Holiday

Deep News10-07

During the National Day holiday, in order to continuously standardize the operating order of the holiday market and effectively safeguard the public's food and drug safety as well as the safety of life and property, the Shuangta District Market Supervision Administration focused on key areas such as catering food safety and drug business safety, and comprehensively carried out special inspections for National Day holiday safety. Through precise supervision, strict screening, and considerate services, it fully protected public consumption safety during the holiday.

This special inspection closely targeted key aspects of holiday food safety and carried out full-coverage, zero-dead-angle screening of key catering business units in the jurisdiction, merchants on online catering platforms, small roadside catering stores, and high-risk locations such as illegally operated catering businesses in garages, storage rooms, and idle houses. For the online catering sector, law enforcement officers adopted a linked model of "online inspection plus offline verification," verifying one by one the qualifications of catering merchants on the platforms, strictly investigating and handling violations such as unlicensed operation, operation beyond the approved scope, inconsistency between license information and actual conditions, and serious mismatch between dish pictures and actual products. They focused on verifying key links such as kitchen environmental hygiene, food ingredient processing operations, health management of employees, food purchase inspection, and requests for certificates and invoices, and strictly investigated illegal business activities such as selling expired and deteriorated food, counterfeit and inferior products, "three-no" food, and illegally processed and prepared food. In response to various safety hazards found during inspections, law enforcement officers guided business entities on site to make immediate corrections, set clear rectification deadlines and consolidated rectification responsibilities for key and difficult hazards, and implemented a closed-loop review mechanism to prevent and resolve food safety risks from the source.

In light of the characteristics of the National Day holiday, including large population movement, concentrated public demand for medicines, and a high incidence of illegal business risks at pharmacies, the bureau carried out special verification and rectification of retail pharmacies and individual clinics in the jurisdiction, targeting high-frequency violations such as irregular prescription drug sales in retail pharmacies and inadequate on-duty performance by licensed pharmacists. Staff focused on inspecting employees' on-duty practicing qualifications, drug purchase and acceptance ledgers, warehouse temperature and humidity monitoring, cold-chain drug storage and management, and standardized prescription drug sales, seriously rectifying chaos such as the sale of expired and substandard drugs and illegal sales of prescription drugs, and urging drug business entities to strictly implement quality and safety management systems to ensure adequate drug supply, compliant sources, and safe quality during the holiday period.

During the inspection process, law enforcement officers simultaneously carried out legal publicity, guiding market operators face to face to effectively consolidate and tighten the main responsibilities of safe production and honest operation, consciously standardize business behavior, and firmly uphold the bottom line of lawful operation. According to statistics, during the National Day holiday, the Shuangta District Market Supervision Administration inspected a total of 844 catering business entities of various types, dispatched 68 law enforcement personnel, issued 90 Rectification Notices, gave warnings to 3 entities, and urged online catering platforms to remove 15 illegally operating merchants; it inspected 22 retail pharmacies in the jurisdiction, dispatched 18 law enforcement personnel, and issued 14 Rectification Notices, effectively rectifying various market safety hazards and standardizing the holiday market operating order. The person in charge of the Shuangta District Market Supervision Administration stated that next, taking this National Day holiday special inspection as an opportunity, the bureau will continue to deepen normalized market supervision, closely focus on key locations, key areas, and weak links, and severely crack down on all kinds of illegal and irregular business activities. It will carry out normalized inspections, sampling tests, hazard investigation and rectification, and "look-back" reviews on rectification, promote closed-loop rectification and dynamic clearance of existing hazards, strictly prevent new safety risks, build a full-chain market safety protection network, and effectively safeguard the food and drug safety of the public in the jurisdiction.
