Haier Smart Home Reshapes Digital Store Transaction Models

Deep News01-07

Amid the trend of diversified consumer demands and the accelerating integration of online and offline channels, breaking through the bottlenecks of efficiency and experience inherent in traditional retail has become a common challenge for the home appliance industry. On December 27th, during the 29th-anniversary celebration of Haier专卖店 (Haier Exclusive Stores), Haier Smart Home presented its own solution. At the event, Li Huagang, Chairman and President of Haier Smart Home, stated that in the AI era, Haier Smart Home aims to transform traditional stores into digital stores, reshaping the transaction model to provide users with comprehensive one-stop service.

For a long time, traditional retail stores have grappled with challenges such as low operational efficiency, high customer acquisition costs, and fragmented user experience processes. To address this, Haier Smart Home is actively developing intelligent retail stores powered by digital AI capabilities. This initiative leverages AI to achieve integrated, intelligent, and platform-based store operations, seamlessly connecting the entire process from product selection and design to transaction, delivery, and settlement online, thereby significantly enhancing store operational efficiency. Furthermore, it enables coordination with centralized warehouses (TC) and user platforms, transforming physical stores into genuinely intelligent experience centers.

To give a simple example, on this platform, a user only needs to provide basic home address information. The system can then automatically identify the apartment layout and dimensions, quickly generating a preliminary design draft that meets their requirements. Once the user confirms and completes the transaction, the order is seamlessly integrated with Haier Smart Home's delivery system, and the entire settlement process is finalized on the same platform, truly achieving transparency and efficiency in the transaction workflow.

Currently, this upgrade initiative centered on digital stores has already been implemented in nearly a thousand brand stores, delivering tangible value. Firstly, digital stores can focus more effectively on retail and services themselves, not only improving operational quality but also boosting overall user satisfaction by 27.2%. Secondly, through integrated operations, digital stores can consolidate online and offline traffic, enhancing user conversion rates and repeat purchase rates. Finally, by relying on AI-driven digital operations, stores can achieve precise customer acquisition. According to statistics from January to June 2025, digital stores generated 526,400 sales leads, converting into retail sales amounting to 1.49 billion yuan.

As AI handles complex backend processes, leaving a smart and hassle-free experience for both the stores and users, Haier Smart Home's digital store transformation may well be steering the home appliance retail sector back to its fundamental purpose: serving daily life. This is not merely a transformation for one company; it could potentially represent a new starting point for the home appliance retail industry in the AI era.
