MEITU Surges Over 5% on Strong Q1 Growth in Imaging & Design Revenue, AI Productivity ARR Hits RMB 580 Million in March

MEITU (01357) rose more than 5%, extending gains over the past four trading sessions to over 30%. At the time of writing, the stock was up 5.14% at HK$5.52, with a turnover of HK$892 million.

The company recently announced that as of March 2026, the number of paid subscribers exceeded 17.9 million, a year-on-year increase of 30.2%. In the first quarter of this year, the group's core imaging and design product revenue (unaudited) maintained strong growth, rising 34.3% year-on-year to RMB 852 million.

For imaging and design products, productivity application revenue grew 45.4% year-on-year in Q1, while lifestyle application revenue increased 35.5% year-on-year. As of March 2026, the annual recurring revenue (ARR) for AI productivity applications was approximately RMB 580 million, up 56.2% year-on-year.

Everbright Securities views MEITU's fundamentals as solid, with AI-driven product enhancements continuing to drive subscriber growth and accelerating progress in productivity and global expansion. Huachuang Securities noted that while the announcement did not disclose a full income statement, the operational data clearly validates the growth quality of the imaging and design business and the efficiency of AI commercialization. The firm maintains its assessment of the company's "productivity + globalization" focus, highlighting subscription revenue, usage-based payments, and margin performance in the upcoming first-half 2026 results.
