Willdan's stock surged 5.02% during intraday trading on Monday, following the release of its first-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings call transcript which revealed robust financial performance and an optimistic outlook.
The company reported a 35% increase in adjusted EBITDA to $18.1 million and a 44% rise in adjusted EPS to $0.91, with gross margin expanding to 40.7%. Management significantly raised its full-year guidance, projecting net revenue of $410 million to $425 million, adjusted EBITDA of $100 million to $105 million, and adjusted EPS of $4.90 to $5.05.
Further bolstering investor confidence was the recent acquisition of Burton Energy Group, which is expected to be accretive in 2026. The CEO also highlighted that the company's APG business could more than double this year, driven in part by a major data center project in the Southwestern US.
