JD.com has consistently regarded the promotion of high-quality and full employment as the core mission of its social responsibility, actively serving the national employment priority strategy.

Starting from a small counter in Zhongguancun, JD.com has now developed into a large private enterprise with over 900,000 employees and indirectly driving employment for more than 25 million people. While achieving its own development, JD.com has continuously expanded its employment scale, with a particular focus on key groups such as university graduates, rural laborers, military veterans, and persons with disabilities. In 2025, the group recruited 28,000 new university graduates; since 2021, it has directly provided over 400,000 job positions in rural areas; it has specifically established a customer service team named "Sunshine Angels" composed entirely of persons with disabilities, creating equal employment opportunities for them.

JD.com has always adhered to the philosophy of "People First, Enterprise Second," building a comprehensive welfare and security system. Since hiring its first delivery personnel in 2007, the company has insisted on signing labor contracts with all employees and making full contributions to the five social insurances and one housing fund. The company's "Employee Care and Relief Fund" has cumulatively invested over 147 million yuan, helping more than 3,000 employees in difficult situations overcome hardships. In terms of improving employee living conditions, JD.com has invested a total of 22 billion yuan to provide nearly 30,000 staff dormitories nationwide; it has disbursed 1.3 billion yuan in interest-free loans through its "Home Ownership Plan"; and has invested 7 billion yuan in constructing the "JD Youth City." Over the next five years, JD.com plans to invest an additional 22 billion yuan to build 150,000 "Courier Homes," continuously enhancing the quality of life for its employees.

JD.com has established "519 Veteran Employee Day" and "Frontline Employee Day" to honor grassroots workers who have made contributions in ordinary positions. Through the "I Study at University with JD" program, more than 6,000 delivery personnel have realized their university dreams, and over 20,000 people have obtained vocational skill level certificates. At JD.com, there are employees with over 40 years of service, as well as "father-son duos" and "husband-wife teams" working together, all collectively witnessing the shared growth of the enterprise and its employees.
