RXO INC (NYSE: RXO) has announced that its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Drew Wilkerson, has been recognized as a 2026 "Rainmaker" by the logistics and supply chain industry publication DC Velocity. This award honors leaders who demonstrate innovation, leadership, and a measurable impact on the industry through their work.
Wilkerson has led RXO INC since its spinoff from XPO Logistics into an independent public company in 2022. Under his leadership, the company has grown into an enterprise with over $4.5 billion in revenue, becoming the third-largest freight brokerage in North America. With nearly 10,000 employees globally, it serves blue-chip clients across numerous sectors.
In 2024, Wilkerson spearheaded the strategic acquisition of Coyote Logistics from UPS. This transaction expanded RXO INC's market presence, enhanced its service capacity and network density for customers, and diversified its client base, laying a foundation for long-term growth.
Wilkerson is a transportation industry veteran with nearly two decades of leadership experience in brokerage. Prior to his current role, he held several executive positions at XPO Logistics, including President of North American Transportation. He has received numerous industry accolades, such as being named a "Most Admired CEO" (2024) by the Charlotte Business Journal, included in its "40 Under 40" list (2023), featured on Business North Carolina's Power List (2023-2026), recognized as a "Pro to Know" by Supply & Demand Chain Executives (2021), and awarded CEO of the Year at the SupplyTech Breakthrough Awards in 2023.
Commenting on the recognition, Wilkerson stated, "This honor reflects the strength of the RXO INC team and our business momentum. By combining deep industry expertise, leading technology, and a focus on service, we are creating value for our customers and carriers and positioning RXO INC for long-term growth."
