Artificial intelligence remains a highly competitive track. The Wuxi New District recently established an AI Industry Development Promotion Center, marking the institutionalization of its "All in AI" strategy. This center is positioned as a full-chain industrial service platform, focusing on four key areas: intelligent computing power, embodied intelligence, AI manufacturing, and smart terminals. It will integrate public services such as computing resources, toolchains, and intelligent agents to provide lifecycle support for various enterprises, aiming to play a pivotal role in regional collaborative innovation among government, industry, academia, and research.
Xuyi County in Huai'an signed two companies for chain extension within a week. One will produce parts for embodied intelligent robots, opening a new avenue for cultivating the AI industry and helping the local traditional aluminum profile sector upgrade to high-value-added terminal products, making a critical leap from primary processing to smart manufacturing. The other, a non-ferrous metal and profile processing company, will supply key thermal energy technology equipment for Xuyi's attapulgite deep processing and new materials industry, further extending the specialty resource chain and boosting product technology content and market competitiveness.
In the field of advanced manufacturing, regions are leveraging existing industrial foundations to push projects toward high-end and intelligent development. Liyang City in Changzhou, known as "China's top county for power batteries," posted impressive results in the first half of the year, with battery manufacturing output growing 52.0% year-on-year and industrial output above designated size increasing 51.9%. Driven by leading enterprises, Liyang's unique "3-kilometer industrial ecosystem" continues to generate synergies, with top-tier supporting companies like Putailai and Tinci Materials achieving efficient same-city supply of core materials, effectively reducing logistics costs and shortening R&D and verification cycles. Additionally, Lan Gu New Energy's 10,000-ton oxide solid-state electrolyte production line is running stably, laying a material foundation for the industrialization of next-generation solid-state batteries.
Zhangjiagang City in Suzhou welcomed a new player in its textile industry: the Lucky Deer high-end textile intelligent production base project, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan. The project plans to build high-standard smart factories and introduce advanced global spinning equipment, and is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of 780 million yuan upon full operation. Gaogang District in Taizhou focused on the ship and offshore equipment industry, with the groundbreaking of the Changyue Technology ship key supporting device R&D and manufacturing project in the port industrial park. With a total investment of 1 billion yuan, the project will produce 50 sets of intelligent ship control devices and 120,000 tons of new energy dual-fuel supply systems annually, completing the "complete machine + supporting equipment + R&D" industrial loop. On July 21, the Alagem transformer and accessories project was officially signed, with a planned total investment of $30 million, focusing on the R&D and production of dry-type transformers, oil-immersed transformers, and related accessories.
Jiangning District in Nanjing celebrated a "double success" this week. The China Electric Power Research Institute's Nanjing Scientific Research Base was officially put into use, with a first-phase building area of 120,000 square meters. It will focus on R&D and testing of key technologies for new power systems, aiming to become a major technological innovation center in East China. Additionally, the Daquan new intelligent electrical equipment expansion project broke ground on July 20, with a planned investment of 1 billion yuan for new factory buildings. Upon completion, the Daquan Group's Nanjing park is expected to achieve an annual output value exceeding 10 billion yuan. Currently, the Jiangning Development Zone has gathered 265 new power enterprises, with an output value exceeding 200 billion yuan. The implementation of these two projects will further consolidate its leading position in the national smart grid industry.
Baoying County is making simultaneous efforts in talent cultivation. This week, the Baoying County Power Equipment Industry Baosheng Craftsman College was officially inaugurated. It successfully completed the initial loading of 10,000 jin of large yellow croaker into its cages. The platform achieves three-dimensional utilization of wind power generation, photovoltaic power supplementation, and cage fish farming in the same sea area. To address the unique challenges of the Yellow Sea, such as shallow water, soft seabeds, and low temperatures, it innovatively uses suction anchor mooring technology, mitigating safety risks to submarine cables and wind turbine foundations posed by traditional methods.
