McDonald's Presents Global Top Restaurant Manager Award with Beijing Recipients

On June 3, it was announced that the global McDonald's Ray Kroc Awards ceremony took place on June 2 in Las Vegas, USA. A total of 41 restaurant general managers from 26 cities across mainland China received the award, with five of those winners representing Beijing restaurants. Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonald's, lends his name to this prestigious global accolade, which is presented biennially to honor the top one percent of restaurant general managers within the McDonald's system.

Zhang Jiayin, CEO of McDonald's China, stated that the 41 award-winning general managers from mainland China represent the absolute best within the global McDonald's network and are exemplary models of the company's service culture. McDonald's remains committed to supporting employee growth and providing expansive development opportunities for every team member.

Public information indicates that McDonald's China's Hamburger University and the "McDonald's e-Learning" online platform enable employees to acquire new knowledge and skills both in-person and digitally. By 2025, the cumulative learning time for employees is projected to exceed 3 million hours.

The report notes that the average age of the 2026 McDonald's China Ray Kroc Award recipients is 34.6 years, with the youngest being 23. Individuals born in the 1990s and 2000s constitute over 54% of the winners. Their average tenure at McDonald's is 11.9 years, and their average age upon joining the company was 22.7 years. Among them, nearly one-third have previously won employee skill competitions such as the McDonald's All-Star Games, over 80% have received the McDonald's China Outstanding Restaurant General Manager award, and four individuals have participated in the McDonald's "Dream University Program."
