Haining has launched a series of reports titled "AI Haining," using small-scale examples to illustrate major transformations and demonstrate how this dynamic city is riding the wave of artificial intelligence to empower economic development.
This year, Haining was designated as a provincial pilot for AI-enabled manufacturing. The latest data shows that from January to September, the revenue of large-scale enterprises in Haining's core AI industry reached 7.895 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 62.7%.
Why has such rapid growth been achieved? Let us step into the production workshops, R&D laboratories, and application scenarios of Haining's manufacturing enterprises to discover where artificial intelligence is at work.
At the Haining intelligent manufacturing base of Chint Solar, AGV carts shuttle between various processes, achieving fully automated material delivery. From battery cells to finished modules, the AI visual inspection system can accurately identify more than 20 types of potential defects with an accuracy rate of 99.7%.
Moreover, the company has integrated equipment maintenance manuals, historical fault cases, spare parts inventories, and other data resources through an AI equipment maintenance agent, reducing average repair time by 50%, keeping fault diagnosis response time within one second, and cutting new employee training cycles by one-third. Energy optimization alone brings the company approximately 3.17 million yuan in annual benefits.
This "Chint Solar AI Equipment Maintenance Scenario" was selected as a provincial-level intelligent computing cloud scenario this year. Such applications are not isolated cases. On JinkoSolar's fully automated production line, intelligent visual inspection has replaced manual quality checks, improving both precision and efficiency. The newly released next-generation high-capacity battery energy storage system, "Blue Whale SunTera G5," is equipped with an AI intelligent operations and maintenance system that can adapt to diverse application scenarios including data centers, renewable energy storage, and grid-side applications, achieving industry-leading energy density in a standard 20-foot container energy storage system.
In the pan-semiconductor field, Tiantong Ruihong relies on years of technical accumulation to continuously tackle key components such as thin-film lithium niobate optical chips and high-precision clock chips. These core hardware components provide underlying hardware support for AI applications, positioning the company at the forefront nationally.
Leading enterprises have created demonstration models, and across Haining, AI manufacturing has flourished in multiple locations. At Juanhu International Science and Technology City, Dolphin Smart Sound is deeply engaged in ultrasonic multimodal large models, with its AI-assisted ultrasound diagnostic system covering more than ten examination areas including thyroid and breast, installing a "smart brain" for medical imaging screening.
In Chang'an Town and the High-tech Zone, the "AI Traditional Chinese Medicine Physiotherapy Robot" developed by Weierde Digital Intelligence Medical Technology Co., Ltd. was showcased at the 2026 World Internet Conference. Taiyi Smart Control's 11 "AI digital employees" are deployed across marketing, sales, customer service, and after-sales operations, becoming capable partners for employees in various roles.
In the Haining Economic Development Zone, Xinyihua Intelligent has launched a "four-storage-position dual-differential compound robot," which has been widely applied in leading domestic silicon wafer factories and implemented in multiple wafer fabrication and packaging testing enterprises.
As a major manufacturing county in Zhejiang Province, Haining has long been deeply engaged in the pan-semiconductor and optical storage fields. Leveraging the solid foundation built by its "241" industrial cluster, it has established a complete industrial chain covering AI chips, core materials, precision equipment, and computing terminals. A group of enterprises including Xinmeng, Tuojing, and Tiantong have broken foreign monopolies in key areas such as heterogeneous AI chips and semiconductor photomasks.
To accelerate the development of the artificial intelligence industry, Haining recently released a three-year action plan for advancing AI innovation and development based on its actual conditions. The plan clearly aims to build one hundred-billion-yuan industrial cluster, focusing on two major tracks: one being the "industrial track focused on intelligent computing hardware, intelligent terminals, and embodied intelligence supporting new materials," and the other being the "application track focused on AI empowering intelligent manufacturing, modern agriculture, professional markets, cultural tourism, social governance, livelihood services, and other industries." By identifying paths suitable for its own development, Haining aims to build itself into a city of AI innovation and application.
In the future, Haining will seize the new opportunities presented by artificial intelligence, cultivate more chain-leading enterprises, attract and gather high-quality projects, guide AI to deeply embed itself in all aspects of the real economy, and enable artificial intelligence to empower all industries and serve all households.
