PCB concept stocks continue to rise, with VGT (02476) and KB LAMINATES (01888) reaching new all-time highs this morning. As of the latest update, VGT is up 8.18% to HK$436.6, while KB LAMINATES has gained 7.44% to HK$54.9.
The surge follows a recent analysis by Morgan Stanley on Nvidia's next-generation Rubin rack. The Bill of Materials (BOM) for the Nvidia VR200 NVL72 cabinet has increased by approximately 95% to $7.803 million compared to the GB300. Notably, the value of PCBs within the system has surged by 233% year-on-year, marking the highest increase among non-memory components. The PCB value per cabinet has jumped from $35,100 to $116,700.
It is important to highlight that the PCB industry has entered a price increase cycle this year, characterized by rising volumes and prices, strong order books, and extended delivery times. Since May, the industry has witnessed a new round of collective price hikes. The costs of upstream raw materials, including copper-clad laminates, high-end copper foil, electronic cloth, and specialty resins, continue to climb, driving up the prices of finished PCB products.
