Trump Media Reduces Bitcoin Holdings After $360 Million First-Half Loss

Deep News09:55

According to Woofun AI, Trump Media & Technology Group Corp (DJT.US) reduced its Bitcoin holdings in the second quarter following a significant loss in the first half of the year. This shift in asset allocation directly reflects the impact of falling cryptocurrency prices on the financial health of Truth Social's parent company.

The quarterly report released on Monday disclosed specific financial details: the company recorded a loss of $360.6 million in the first half of the year. As of June 30, its Bitcoin holdings had fallen to 9,477.16 coins, with a fair value of $557.1 million. This represents a reduction of 65 coins over the quarter, down from 9,542.16 coins at the end of March.

Data compiled by Woofun AI shows that while the number of Crypto.com-related CRO tokens remained steady at approximately 756.1 million, their fair value dropped from $68 million at the end of 2025 to $40.6 million. Additionally, 4,260.73 Bitcoin were used as collateral for convertible notes, and another 2,077.34 Bitcoin were allocated for Bitcoin options with MicroStrategy (MSTR.US).

These assets are held by the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, which is managed by Donald Trump Jr., while U.S. President Donald Trump serves as the majority shareholder. Notably, just days before this data was released, Trump Media (DJT.US), Crypto.com, and Yorkville Acquisition (MCGA.US) announced last Friday that they had terminated their partnership to form the Trump Media Group CRO Strategy Company. The three parties cited current market conditions and changes in corporate and stakeholder priorities as the reasons for the termination.

At the same time, plans for Crypto.com to provide services for the Yorkville America exchange-traded fund were also abandoned, although Yorkville America emphasized that its existing and future ETF plans remain unchanged.
