Conch Cement announced that staff director Mr Fan Zhan resigned on 3 July 2026 due to work re-allocation, and will no longer hold any position within the Group. Both Mr Fan and the Board confirmed there were no disagreements or matters requiring further disclosure.
Mr Weng Changyi, currently head of the Company’s Safety and Environmental Protection Department, was elected by employees as staff director of the 10th Board on the same day. His term runs from 3 July 2026 to the expected end of the current Board on 30 May 2028. The Company will sign a formal appointment letter with Mr Weng; he will not receive additional director fees, with remuneration linked to his departmental role and annual performance review.
Born in December 1980, Mr Weng joined the Group in 2002 after graduating from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology. His previous roles include senior management positions at Anhui Chizhou Conch Cement, Linxiang Conch Cement, Yiyang Conch Cement, and overseas subsidiaries in Cambodia. He holds 0.10 million shares in China Conch Environment Protection Holdings Limited, an associate of Conch Cement, and has no other listed company directorships or connected relationships with the Company’s directors, supervisors or major shareholders.
Following the change, Conch Cement’s Board comprises nine members: five executive directors (Yang Jun, Zhu Shengli, Li Qunfeng, Yu Shui, Wu Tiejun), three independent non-executive directors (Qu Wenzhou, Ho Shuk Yee Samantha, Han Xu) and one staff director (Weng Changyi).
