During the entire Qingming Festival holiday, cross-city ride-hailing demand on DiDi is projected to increase by nearly 40% compared to pre-holiday levels. On April 2, DiDi Global Inc. released a forecast indicating that the evening peak for ride-hailing services would arrive early on April 3, starting at 4:00 PM and lasting until 7:30 PM, with the highest demand occurring between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Due to overlapping demand from holiday travel, spring outings, and returning home for tomb-sweeping, ride-hailing trips to major transportation hubs such as airports and train stations during the evening peak are expected to surge by 239% compared to regular days. Over the recent week, the number of users utilizing DiDi's AI-powered ride-hailing service has grown 37-fold since the beginning of the year. Young people are the primary users of the AI feature, with those born after 2000 making up more than 40% of the user base. Among personalized ride-hailing preferences, "fast and affordable," "fresh air inside the vehicle," and "nearest available car" ranked as the top three requests. The AI assistant, XiaoDi, currently supports over 90 service tags, with ongoing expansion efforts.
