The National Development and Reform Commission has decided to adjust refined oil product prices based on recent changes in the international oil market, effective from 10:00 PM on August 14, 2026.
In accordance with national regulations, the maximum retail price per tonne for 89-octane gasoline (standard product) in Tianjin has been adjusted from 9,890 yuan to 9,660 yuan, a decrease of 230 yuan. The price per tonne for 0-diesel (standard product) has been reduced from 8,845 yuan to 8,625 yuan, a drop of 220 yuan. Retail prices for other grades of gasoline and diesel have been adjusted accordingly.
The adjusted maximum retail prices per litre for refined oil products in Tianjin are as follows: 89-octane gasoline at 7.21 yuan, down 0.17 yuan; 92-octane gasoline at 7.78 yuan, down 0.18 yuan; 95-octane gasoline at 8.22 yuan, down 0.19 yuan; and 0-diesel at 7.45 yuan, down 0.19 yuan. Retail enterprises may set specific prices within the scope of these maximum limits.
Following this price reduction, filling a 70-litre tank will cost private car owners approximately 11 yuan less. This adjustment marks the 16th price revision in 2026 and the fifth decrease this year. After this change, the 2026 price adjustment pattern will be "ten increases, five decreases, and one hold." The next adjustment window for retail refined oil prices will open at 10:00 PM on August 28, 2026.
