On May 22nd, Yancheng's inaugural county-level OPC community—Dongting Yuandian OPC Community—officially commenced operations. Situated within the Dongtai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, this community has been transformed from the former co-working space "Yuanchuang Valley" and can accommodate over 200 makers simultaneously.
OPC, which stands for "One-Person Company," represents a novel entrepreneurial model emerging in the AI era. Entrepreneurs utilizing AI tools can independently manage the entire business chain—from creative R&D and product operations to market promotion—achieving the concept of "a single individual forming an army, a small entity accomplishing significant feats." Since entering its trial operation phase in March of this year, the Dongting Yuandian OPC Community has been refining its offerings while attracting projects. It has already gathered nearly 20 OPC companies across sectors such as computing power services, UAV inspection algorithms, AI monitoring and traceability, and short-video drama creation, demonstrating initial industrial clustering effects.
The community focuses on the core developmental needs of makers in the AI era. It precisely provides a supportive policy package summarized as "two exemptions, four vouchers, six supports," emphasizing "providing scenarios, space, essential elements, and services" across four dimensions: creativity, entrepreneurship, innovation, and achievement. It systematically builds a new entrepreneurial ecosystem characterized by "full-scenario openness, comprehensive support, all-element backing, and full-cycle guidance," striving to uplift every entrepreneur to "dare to dream, dare to come, be capable of creating, and capable of succeeding."
