The solar energy sector has extended its upward momentum, marking a fourth consecutive session of gains as regional market signals continue to shape investor sentiment.

Shandong Electric Power has released its August 2026 electricity market information bulletin, which includes the settlement reference prices for new energy sources. The wind power settlement benchmark stands at 0.358 yuan per kilowatt-hour, reflecting a marginal 0.15% decrease from the previous month, while the solar power settlement benchmark is set at 0.306 yuan per kilowatt-hour, representing a substantial 48% month-on-month increase.

Looking at the cumulative figures for the January-to-August period, the weighted average settlement price for solar power stands at 131.77525 yuan per megawatt-hour, whereas the weighted average for wind power reaches 305.5075 yuan per megawatt-hour. These benchmark figures provide crucial guidance for market participants navigating the evolving renewable energy pricing landscape.
