According to CINNO Research, the mobile panel market sustained high utilization rates in November, driven by promotional events such as China's "Double 11" and the global "Black Friday," along with multiple smartphone brands launching new products. However, different technology segments showed divergent trends: a-Si panels remained stable amid supply-demand dynamics, LTPS panels maintained high utilization due to demand from automotive and notebook applications, while flexible AMOLED panels continued to experience "stable volume but declining prices" amid capacity expansion and intensified competition.
In the a-Si segment, demand from budget smartphones and the repair market kept production lines running at full capacity. While a-Si cell prices may see a slight increase in November, module prices are expected to remain steady due to falling costs of key components like driver ICs and pricing pressure from brands.
For LTPS panels, strong demand from automotive displays and new notebook/tablet models offset weak smartphone demand, maintaining structural supply-demand balance. Prices are expected to hold steady in November.
In the AMOLED segment, rigid AMOLED demand continued to shrink as flexible alternatives gained traction, with prices stabilizing at low levels. SmileDirectClub, Inc. (SDC) recently adopted price cuts to secure next year's orders. Although major flexible AMOLED producers maintained high utilization rates, some saw slight declines due to pre-production in Q3. To achieve full capacity and expand market share, manufacturers actively lowered prices in bidding, leading to a projected slight price drop in November.
CINNO Research forecasts that a-Si module prices will remain stable in November and December 2025, LTPS panel prices will hold steady, rigid AMOLED prices will stay flat in the short term, and flexible AMOLED prices will continue their downward trend.
