Accel Entertainment (ACEL) announced on Wednesday that its subsidiary, Toucan Gaming, has finalized the acquisition of assets from Rice Palace Inc. and South Louisiana Gaming Inc.
These two companies are the owners and operators of the Rice Palace Truck Stop Casino located in Crowley, Louisiana.
This strategic purchase adds 50 video gaming devices to Accel's portfolio in Louisiana.
The company intends to expand the location's capacity to 60 devices in the near term, representing an increase of approximately 8% relative to the 728 video gaming devices Accel had on its route in the state as of March 31, 2026.
The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Andy Rubenstein, CEO of Accel Entertainment, stated, "This value-accretive acquisition demonstrates our continued momentum in Louisiana and our confidence in the market's long-term growth potential.
Rice Palace has built a solid business foundation, rooted in local customer relationships, 24/7 service, authentic food offerings, and operational discipline, and we enthusiastically welcome them to the Toucan Gaming family."
Toucan Gaming CEO Stan Guidroz added, "Through this agreement, Toucan is expanding our scale and route coverage in Louisiana.
Combined with our existing operations, this acquisition supports our disciplined expansion strategy focused on premium entertainment, superior operations, technology deployment, and new site development."
Rice Palace combines a video poker casino with truck stop services, representing a significant format within Louisiana's decentralized gaming market.
The business primarily serves local patrons, travelers, and commercial truck drivers, offering gaming, dining, and convenience services at a single location.
Accel is one of the largest terminal operators in the United States, operating over 28,000 electronic gaming terminals across more than 4,500 third-party venues and 20 owned gaming locations in ten states.
The company provides comprehensive gaming solutions, including terminal operation, payment processing, membership loyalty programs, cash logistics, customer service, and data analytics.
This acquisition aligns with Accel's long-term strategy of growth through targeted mergers and acquisitions, expanding its footprint in regulated gaming markets, while leveraging its centralized operating systems and customer engagement tools to enhance the efficiency of newly acquired locations.
