The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged more than 1.5% in early trading to reach a fresh all-time high. Among its components, UnitedHealth Group jumped nearly 6%, Merck rose more than 4%, American Express gained 3.6%, Visa advanced 3.2%, while Boeing and Goldman Sachs each climbed over 2%.
