CMS Halts New Enrollment in Elevance Health's Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plans

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has informed Elevance Health of its intention to impose penalties, including a suspension of new member enrollment in the insurer's Medicare Advantage prescription drug plans, according to a document. Unless regulators determine that the relevant issues have been adequately resolved, the penalty is scheduled to take effect on March 31, 2026.
