Medical Device Inspection Campaign Launched by Ningyang County Market Regulators

Deep News09-07 12:41

On September 7, enforcement officers from the Market Supervision Administration of Ningyang County, Shandong Province, visited retail pharmacies within their jurisdiction to conduct a targeted on-site inspection of medical devices.

The inspection team focused on Class II medical devices such as blood pressure monitors, meticulously reviewing product registration documents and purchase invoices, while also verifying product expiration dates and packaging labels to identify potential risks, including expired items or devices of unclear origin.

Throughout the process, the authorities combined supervision with guidance, providing on-the-spot explanations to pharmacy staff about regulations governing medical device operations. They highlighted areas needing improvement in business practices and urged operators to take responsibility for compliance, standardizing both the verification of incoming goods and routine self-inspection procedures.

Looking ahead, the bureau plans to intensify the frequency of medical device oversight, closely monitor risks associated with retail pharmacy operations, and ensure the safety of medical devices for the public.
