HAIDILAO's "Pomegranate Plan" Expands: First Nationwide Dai Pai Dong Hot Pot Outlet Set to Open

Deep News12-11

On the evening of December 11, it was announced that HAIDILAO's first Dai Pai Dong hot pot outlet in Guangzhou has entered its internal testing phase and will soon officially open.

The outlet offers over 200 menu items, including fresh-cut meats, live seafood, teppanyaki dishes, and a fruit beverage section. Customers can freely explore different functional zones, enjoying a market-style dining experience with individual hot pots. The menu will be seasonally adjusted to keep offerings fresh.

A project representative stated that leveraging HAIDILAO's supply chain system, ingredients are sourced, transported via cold chain, and temporarily stored in-store under strict standards to ensure stable quality. "Daily deliveries of live seafood are categorized and temporarily housed, following a 'direct cold-chain, same-day shelving' model, keeping seafood alive until preparation—meeting Dai Pai Dong’s demand for on-site processing and fresh presentation."

For food safety, the outlet adheres to HAIDILAO’s protocols, utilizing AI inspection, pest control, and food safety accountability systems to monitor kitchen operations, hygiene, and compliance.

The Guangzhou outlet marks the beginning of HAIDILAO’s Dai Pai Dong expansion, with plans to launch more locations in Qingdao, Shanghai, Wuhan, Hangzhou, and Nanning. Menu and design will adapt to regional preferences for greater diversity.

HAIDILAO’s 2025 interim report revealed that since launching the "Pomegranate Plan," the company has incubated 14 dining brands, including flame-grilled BBQ and fried chicken concepts. As of June 2025, these brands operated 126 stores, generating RMB 597 million in "other restaurant revenue," a 227% year-on-year increase.
